Starting a Dental Assisting School
You bring the dentistry and the business. We bring the curriculum, the platform, and the training tools — starting at $2,500.
What it takes — and what you keep
01
The Reality
Opening a dental assisting school is three projects: a licensing project, a business project, and a teaching project. Two of them run on paperwork and planning. The third is the reason we exist.
02
The Part We Solve
The teaching is the hardest part to build from scratch. Modules, quizzes, charting, patient cases, grading. Months of work before your first student. DAU hands it to you finished.
03
The Part You Keep
The school is yours: your name, your tuition, your business. Hosting someone else's program can pay you little while they take the bulk. Owning the program means you keep it all.
What our Launch package includes
Dental Assisting U was built by a team of dental professionals and educators, led by a practicing dentist. The curriculum prepares students for real chairside work, with charting training and virtual patients based on real-world cases. It is specifically designed to take the weight off your instructors — sequenced, simple to run, with grading built in.
Premier setup built in — curriculum customizations, custom evaluation sheets, and syllabus alignment mapping
Platform set up and configured to your program
Structured curriculum with quizzes, charting practice, and virtual patient simulations, ready to teach from day one
An onboarding session, plus two train-the-trainer sessions for your instructors
Two student onboarding sessions: we walk your first cohort through the platform live, so day one runs itself
Centralized grading and progress tracking
Monthly check-in call through your first 90 days
A certificate of completion template, branded to your school
Additional services quoted separately
What we deliberately don't sell
What we deliberately don't sell: we don't file your state licensing paperwork, recruit your students, or sell protected territories. We build the training platform and the curriculum — the part your students actually experience. For licensing requirements, we'll point you toward your state's resources.
Running your school on DAU
The Launch package gets you open. This is what the day-to-day looks like after.
In person — students run DAU in the classroom or between sessions, and your hours go to hands-on practice and check-offs.
Remote — DAU is the backbone: modules, quizzes, charting, and virtual patients carry the program.
Hybrid — split it wherever it makes sense; the platform works the same either way.
Your schedule, your format.
-
Each student gets their own account, works at the pace your schedule sets. Students can take most of the course from their phone — modules, quizzes, and progress tracking all work on mobile. The virtual patient simulations are designed for desktop and laptop use.
-
Quizzes score themselves and land in a central gradebook. The cohort dashboard shows who's on pace and who's stuck, so instructors catch a struggling student early. Evaluation sheets for hands-on skills save to the student's record alongside everything else.
-
Email support is always included, for as long as you run our program — it doesn't end when the 90-day launch window does. Need something beyond the included scope later? Just ask!
-
Quiz scores, charting work, simulation results, and evaluations all save to each student's record — one complete file per student for whatever your program needs to keep. And when they finish, your certificate of completion template is ready, branded to your school.
What it costs
School Launch starts at $2,500 one-time plus licensing at $165 per user with an annual agreement, or $199 per user without one.
